With his good looks and charming character, temple dog Vivo was always popular with the ladies. Recently, his yearning for new romantic conquests drove him to leave the safety of his temple for other territories, where he was clearly not welcome. When he finally returned from his adventure he was weak, emaciated, and covered with multiple bite wounds.
At the WVS Rescue Center, our expert veterinarians patched Vivo back together. And, to put an end to his playboy lifestyle, he was sterilized before returning back to the care of the monks.
In addition to the hundreds of dogs who receive life-saving veterinary treatment at WVS Care for Dogs, we also sterilize around 500 strays every month, to prevent future suffering from unwanted litters.
