Help Us Fight TVT Cancer!

These dogs, and many more, suffer from TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumors), a form of cancer in dogs and other canine species. The cause is a virus which is transmitted from dog to dog during mating. The tumors, as many other types of cancer, spread and grow and eventually cause agonizing pain and death, unless the dog receives effective treatment.

Fortunately, the WVS veterinary team have the ability to treat, and cure this particular form of cancer through chemotherapy, with a very high recovery rate. And sterilizing helps to prevent the spread of this disease.

But the drugs to treat just one dog cost THB 3800 on average and the treatment in our dedicated TVT ward requires us to house and feed the dog for 6-10 weeks. Many dogs cannot receive treatment due to the high cost of medication.

For about THB 400 we can treat and care for one TVT patient for a week. For THB 3800 you allow us to save one of these dogs’ life and end the suffering. Please give now and help us fight this terrible disese.
