His owner had been caring for friendly 10-year-old “Chok” as best he could. But when a large mass appeared on his beloved companion’s neck, the man knew that expensive vet visits and treatments would exceed his very limited means. Fortunately, he found his way to our community clinic.
By this time the mass had grown quite large, infected, and required urgent intervention. WVS’ experienced veterinarians determined that the tumor was benign and that surgery was possible. Just a few days after the challenging but successful operation, Chok is clearly feeling much better and is enjoying the care and hospitality of the WVS Rescue & Rehabilitation Center. If his recovery progresses, we expect this lovable old guy to have several good years of retirement ahead.
Providing world-class veterinary care to animals with nowhere else to go for help, is an important part of our mission. All our work is privately funded and we need your support to keep helping dogs like Chok. Please join our team by making a donation today!
