A community member in Sanpatong alerted us to a young female stray in pityful condition. The WVS Rescue & Rehabilitation Center vet team quickly discovered that little Amalia was suffering from a massive skin infestation by demodex parasites. This lead to a life-threatening bacterial infection all over her body, which needed urgent treatment.
Amalia will have to be our guest for several weeks. But with expert treatment and TLC, we’re confident that she’ll make a good recovery and will be a cute and happy pup again.
Do you want to guess what color Amalia’s coat will be? Watch this space for updates on her progress!
Every year, our dedicated vet team provides life-saving veterinary care to hundreds of animals who have nowhere else to turn for help. Please support our work by making a donation at wvsthailand.org/en/donate/
