Hook, Line & Sinker!

Little stray “Tasha” was hanging out with some locals fishing at a dam where she lived. Intrigued by the yummy smell of their bait, she decided to grab a piece… which was already attached to a hook!

One of our rescue partners brought Tasha to WVS for veterinary help. Our skilled surgeons removed the hook from her stomach, where it had already pierced the stomach wall and would surely have caused a deadly infection in the abdominal cavity. Thankfully, she’s now making an excellent recovery at the WVS Critical Care Unit.

Tasha is a very sweet and friendly four-month old female Thai mix. Upon completion of treatment, she will be looking for a loving home. She will have all her vaccines and will have been sterilized.

If you’re interested in giving the little sweetheart a loving home, you can contact her rescuer directly by messenger at Lynne Playle (English or Thai).

Our dedicated team of veterinarians provides live-saving treatment for hundreds of strays who have nowhere else to turn for help. Please consider supporting our mission, by making a donation at wvsthailand.org/en/donate/
