Helping "Pui" Beat Cancer!

When local officials from a nearby community contacted the WVS clinic about a very timid stray with a large open and infected mass on his back, we immediately dispatched a rescue team.

It turned out that “Pui” had already been treated by our vets for skin parasites, a few years ago. But this time his situation turned out much more serious — A biopsy and subsequent lab tests revealed that the mass on his back was an aggressive, malignant tumor.

This required immediate surgical intervention, as the cancer was likely to spread otherwise. The surgery was challenging, as it required removal of a wide margin of skin around the large tumor. But thanks to our expert surgical team, the operation was a success!

Pui is now recovering in our dermatology ward, while we are also treating some of his less serious skin issues. We expect tho release him back shortly to his community, who will keep us posted about Pui’s progress.

Please support our lifesaving veterinary work, on behalf of animals who do not have access to private treatment, by making a donation.
