Help "Lucky" Get Well!

Lucky, a sweet female terrier mix, came to the WVS Rescue & Rehabilitation Center with three large mammary tumors. This is similar to human breast cancer and happens to many older female dogs. Early sterilization (ideally before first heat) can significantly reduce the chance of developing this painful and dangerous condition.

Careful examination by our veterinarians revealed that several surgeries are necessary to remove all the tumors and repair the damage. Sweet Lucky has already made it through one operation and is now recovering, before getting ready for the next stage of treatment. She’s beginning to feel better and soon she will be free of pain and disease.
