Healing Bear's Body & Soul

A community member found “Bear”, a 5-year-old shepherd mix, in the parking lot of a shopping center. This poor boy was in a deplorable state. Beside a large wound on his neck, he is extremely skinny and his coat is matted and filthy. We suspect he is an abandoned pet who lacks the necessary survival skills to compete for food and territory.

Bear is a very gentle dog and eagerly seeks human contact. His behavior shows signs of abuse and it will take a little time to rehabilitate him physically and emotionally. He’s quite timid at the moment but very sweet, and we will do our best to support his recovery. We think he will be a sweet and loyal pet, after a little TLC from our staff and volunteers.

If you think you could open your heart to this unfortunate boy, and give him a loving home, please reach out to us by clicking the message button, or call us at 086 913 8701 (Mon-Sat, 9-5).

If you would like to help support Bear’s treatment and recovery, please consider making a donation.
