Bonny: Lost an Eye, Gained a Home!

We try not to play favorites among the dogs who come to the WVS Rescue Center for treatment. But little stray “Bonny” quickly charmed her way into the hearts of everyone who met her.

This little stray came to us with a severe eye injury. Unfortunately there was no sight left in the eye and it caused her great pain. So, our vets determined that it was best to remove the useless organ.

While still in recovery, Bonny caught the attention of a great family who came to look for a companion for their young rescue dog “Milo”. With all her treatments complete, last Saturday was finally the great day for Bonny to join her loving forever home, far from the dangers and loneliness of life in the streets.

We wish Bonny, Milo and their family many happy years together!
