One of the greatest dangers for free-roaming dogs is road traffic. Tarn, a five-month-old male puppy, was found on the side of a road with a shattered leg that was only attached to his body by some skin. He must have been in terrible pain for several days, before he was discovered.
Our great veterinary team was able to stop the severe infection and the pain but, sadly, could not save his mangled leg. Fortunately, he’s still young and is adjusting to life on three legs very quickly. Just a few days after his surgery, he’s already running around the yard.
Tarn is an exceptionally sweet and affectionate little dog. He’s very friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs too. He currently weighs about 6Kg and won’t grow to more than 10Kg.
We think Tarn will make a wonderful family pet and hope someone will open their heart and their home to him. If that someone could be you, please contact our adoption team by clicking the “message” button or call us for an appointment (086 913 8701, Mon-Sat, 9:30-4:30) to meet him at the WVS Rescue & Rehabilitation Center in Hangdong.
