A local homeowner made a shocking discovery when he found Lai, a young female stray cat, impaled on his garden fence. One of the sharp iron spikes, meant to keep burglars from climbing over the property wall, had completely penetrated the poor kitty’s hind-leg and thigh.
After cutting off the spike, the good citizen brought Lai to our clinic. X-rays showed serious tissue damage, but fortunately no broken bones or trauma to vital organs. Our surgeons were able to remove the spike, without any additional tissue or nerve damage.
Thanks to the skill of our doctors, good medication, rest and lots of TLC from our clinic staff, Lai is now back to prowling her neighborhood for rodents and lizards. Another little furry life saved.
We can only do this life-saving work with the help of animal lovers like you. All our activities are funded through private donations. So, if you want more animals like Lai to get desperately needed veterinary care, PLEASE DONATE TODAY!
