Chaokuai is a stray dog who lived near the Samoeng intersection. One day, he was found struggling in the water at the road median after an accident. Thankfully, a kind passerby noticed him and managed to rescue him in time. He survived that day, but returned to the streets, still waiting for love beneath the shade of a brightly coloured umbrella.
On 3 March, WVS Thailand received a report about Chaokuai and brought him in for a full health check. An X-ray revealed that one of his leg bones had healed in a deformed position, and he was also heavily infested with ticks, so his fur had to be shaved in order to begin treatment and proper care.
Although his leg is misshapen, the good news is that Chaokuai can still walk and run normally. He has now received his core vaccinations as well as treatment to prevent ticks, fleas, and parasites. We also plan to neuter him in the future to support his long-term health.
Chaokuai is currently recovering at WVS Thailand. Once his treatment is complete, we hope he will find a warm home and a loving family who will care for him for the rest of his life.
