We'd like to introduce you to a dog named "Kafae" (Coffee).
Over the past month, our WVS Thailand Foundation team was out in a remote area providing vaccination services. During our work, Kafae's owner approached our veterinary team for advice about an eye injury. After examination, we found that Kafae had a cataract in his right eye. However, due to the area's distance from any veterinary facility, along with the cost of treatment, his owner was unable to bring him in for care.
Once our team learned of his condition, they discussed the situation right away and decided to bring Kafae back to the foundation's center for treatment, coordinating with staff to pick him up that very same day.
Over the course of more than a month, Kafae received treatment and recovered at our foundation until he was fully healed. Today, the time has finally come for him to return home to the family that has been waiting for him.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with Kafae that day. His story reflects the dedication of our veterinary team and staff, who remain committed to the welfare of every animal we care for.
Seeing Kafae return safely to his family is exactly the kind of encouragement that keeps us moving forward, driven to help more dogs in need, every single day.
