Mission Rabies Cambodia

This year's Mission Rabies Cambodia campaign (a WVS initiative) exceeded all expectations with 229,488 dogs vaccinated in three provinces, over two weeks. Hundreds of volunteers from around the globe worked alongside Mission Rabies and WVS staff in often very challenging conditions. We are especially proud that the entire WVS Thailand team of veterinarians and vet nurses participated in this effort.

In addition to vaccinations, this year we were able to provide veterinary treatment to 538 sick and injured animals flagged by the vaccination teams in the communities. At one of our hubs, located at the Royal University for Agriculture, we also performed free sterilizations on 212 dogs.

Working hand-in-hand with the Cambodian government, universities and our brilliant local partner charity Animal Rescue Cambodia, this is an ongoing effort toward a rabies free tomorrow!
