For many years "Moo Ping" had an uneventful life as a family dog. Because he’s quite friendly and never bothered anyone, he was allowed to wander around his neighborhood unattended, without any problems until...
One day he encountered a large pit bull, who was also out by himself. Moo Ping's natural instinct to defend his territory nearly cost him his life — When he checked into the WVS Critical Care Unit, he had lost a lot of blood and a large piece of his neck.
Moo Ping was lucky, this time, thanks to the skill and dedication of our veterinarians. But allowing our pets to leave home by themselves exposes them to many dangers, including dog fights, traffic accidents, poisoning, and deadly infections.
So, please ensure that your fence is secure and the gate is always closed, unless you’re out on a nice walk with your furry friend on a lead.
Every year, the dedicated vet team at the WVS Rescue & Rehabilitation Center provides life-saving treatment and care to hundreds of animals, who have nowhere else to turn to for help. Please help us continue our work by making a small donation today!
