Hi, I’m Lukmai. We haven’t met yet, but after reading this, I really hope we will. I’m a sweet girl, but sometimes a tiny bit shy when I meet new humans. That may be the reason why I’m still here at the rescue center.
See, people who adopt a shelter dog often choose the one one that races up to the fence and tries to lick their hand immediately. But give me a few moments to get to know you, and I’m sure we can be great friends.
People are actually my favorite thing in life, because I can go out to explore the world with them and some of them, I think they’re called volunteers, give me treats and cuddles after a nice walk. I also get along with most other dogs, especially the boys.
Recently, I had my fourth birthday here at the shelter. My siblings have gone to good homes already and, even though life here is not too bad, I really hope that I can celebrate my next birthday in a loving home too. What do you think, could it be yours?
