Tiger Will Roar Again!

A couple of students found “Suea” (Thai for Tiger) laying unconscious by the side of the road. They wanted to help him, but it was clear that he would need a lot more help than their modest budgets could cover. That’s where we come in!

He was admitted to our Critical Care Unit with severe head trauma and a shattered hind leg, along with a whole collection of blood parasite infections. For a while it was touch-and-go; Tiger’s prospects were very poor indeed. But this boy is a fighter and, after several days in a coma, he opened his eyes and gingerly lifted his head for the first time. The next day, he started to eat and he’s been going from strength to strength ever since.

It’s been six weeks and Tiger’s journey back to great health is not yet complete. But every day brings little improvements and we’re so thrilled for him.

Every year we treat hundreds of critically ill and injured animals who have nowhere to turn to for life-saving veterinary care.
