Hoo Kwang Made It!

A kind community member, who looks after a stray mum and her litter brought one of the pups to us in critical condition. Little Hoo Kwang was suffering from a severe rectal prolapse, which made it impossible for her to pass stool.

Our brilliant veterinary surgeons performed a delicate and challenging operation called “intra-abdominal colon-pexi” to save this young life. Within days after the procedure, she was eating well and able to pass stool. Hoo Kwang is now ready to be reunited with her mum and siblings whom, we think, she’s been missing quite a bit.

All our veterinary work is privately funded, and so many stray and community animals need our help. If you agree that pups like Hoo Kwang should have access to great, life-saving veterinary care, please consider supporting our work with a donation today!
