World Animal Day, celebrated annually on October 4, aims to raise awareness about animal welfare and inspire movement to enhance the status of animals globally. Activities are organized in various countries around the world.
WVS Thailand has a core mission to enhance animal welfare and effectively control the stray dog population, aligning with the objectives of World Animal Day. This year, we have undertaken numerous initiatives for animal welfare, including:
Spaying and Neutering Stray Dogs: We provide spaying services to reduce the stray dog population in temples and communities.
Practical Training on Stray Dog Population Control for Veterinarian: This includes surgical sterilization and rabies prevention.
Field Vaccination Campaigns: We vaccinate stray dogs in temples and communities to reduce the risk of infectious diseases and focusing on rabies vaccination.
Community Education Initiatives: We aim to raise awareness and foster responsibility for animal welfare in communities, temples, and schools.
WVS Thailand is committed to creating sustainable change, striving to raise animal welfare standards so that animals can lead better lives.
