Chiangmai Vets go Global!

The WVS Thailand veterinary team has long been proud of our high, international standard of practice. This was recently confirmed when two of our vet surgeons, Dr. Earth and Dr. Him, were selected to join the “WVS International Taskforce”. Both doctors are CMU vet school alumni, with several years of training and practice at WVS under their belt.

The Taskforce, directed from the UK WVS Headquarters by Dr. James Hood, is the veterinary equivalent of the “SAS” or “Seal Team Six”. It allows us to deploy some of our best and brightest vet professionals into areas of crisis, for quick intervention. In addition, Taskforce doctors can deliver targeted veterinary training in areas beyond the reach of our network of International Training Centers.

Both Dr. Earth and Dr. Him continue to work as instructors and practitioners at the WVS Hangdong regional center, alongside our other five outstanding veterinarians. But they are always ready to join the next rapid deployment to a far away place, where animals are in dire need.
